Strawberry greek frozen yogurt

With bikini weather right around the corner, let’s face it, we’re all looking for some healthier upgrades to our typical splurges!  I had a burst of creative energy this weekend, and when a craving for ice cream appeared I figured I would pull together something that was better for us all (don’t get me wrong, I fully support eating the occasional ice cream).

I was shocked at how easy this frozen yogurt was to make and how much we all LOVED it!  I can’t wait to make these with strawberries that are fresh from the garden…yum.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup 2% plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Put all of the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy.
  2. Eat immediately if you like it soft, otherwise place in another container and freeze for 30-45 minutes to allow it to set up and serve.

    my son loves this! i love that the sweetener is honey. have you tried it with another fruit? banana? mango?

      Hi Liane! I just tried a version with pineapple and banana…the recipe will be on jillianharris.com this Friday! It was AMAZING! I would highly encourage you to experiment with different fruit! Would love to hear how it turns out:)

    I just tried this and it is absolutely amazing! I did one with a mix of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and cherries and another with blueberries and pineapples. So good!
