Fraîche Table: Mother’s Day Brunch

Entertaining

Mother's Day Brunch

Mother’s Day is just a few days away and we want to help you make her day special! If you’re in search of last minute plans, this is your complete guide to hosting a Mother’s Day brunch. This brunch is feminine and classy and the perfect way to celebrate Mom.

SHOP THE POST

After our Easter Dinner Fraîche Table we had SO MANY requests for a brunch menu and we thought Mother’s Day was the perfect opportunity to create a super pretty table with a simple elegant menu that can be used all year round!

My mom is nothing short of amazing.  She is the kindest, most thoughtful, patient, gentle soul (and so talented) … I would go to the ends of the earth for her. Now that I’m a mom myself I can appreciate how massive the love is for your children… and also how much work it really is being a mom!  There is no greater love.  It makes me appreciate her that much more.

The Flowers

In sticking with the theme of this table, the flowers we chose were soft pastels. I was back to my usual self at Bylands looking for flowers with light hues after the bright colours we used for Cinco de Mayo. I love that peonies are coming in season and they looked beautiful in an arrangement with hydrangea’s.

A complete list of the flowers we used:

  • white peonies
  • pink and white hydrangeas
  • pink garden and spray roses
  • white lilacs
  • white ranunculus
  • white lisianthus
  • dusty pink stock
  • blue delphiniums

The Table

For the table we wanted to make it elegant, feminine, and classy. The napkin bows we made really made this table – click here for the tutorial! We found so many lovely items at The Cross that looked sunning on the table. Here is what we used to create this look:

The Menu

What a better way to start mom’s day off with a pretty brunch? This brunch menu has a combination of savoury and sweet recipes that aren’t too heavy. We included Yogurt Parfaits made with Coconut Granola (I left out the freeze dried strawberries), buttery Raspberry Lemon Scones, a Citrus Kiwi Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing, and Spring Garden Mini Quiches. We served these with coffee, rose, champagne and orange (or pink grapefruit) juice. I mean, we’re celebrating mom right?
