Someone please tell me how that crept up on me so fast!? I’m 40 YEARS OLD TODAY! (I still feel 25 for the record). I’ll confess that I had a really hard time for a few weeks earlier this year thinking about turning 40, dumbfounded by how quickly time is flying. And I discovered at the same time that aging sure brings on a lot of contemplation!
Am I doing enough? Am I doing the RIGHT things with my life? And why is my skin starting to resemble a paper bag thank-you-very-much?
But I quickly whipped my perspective into shape to celebrate it in all of it’s imperfecty perfect glory. Hey, I’m alive! And I live in Canada (love my country) with my sweet healthy family, am surrounded by dear friends, have a roof over my head (or will soon lol, right babe?), good food on the table, and get to do exactly what I love for work every day. I’m so very grateful that I have the fortune of celebrating a 40th birthday, what a GIFT!
As you may know if you follow me on Instagram [1], my sweet cousin Jillian [2] and my amazing friends surprised me for my birthday celebration a couple of weeks back to take me to Whistler for the most EPIC girls weekend! I had zero clue! From the mind-blowing gorgeous accommodations, spa treatments and food at the Four Seasons Whistler [3], the stunning bouquets of Landeau [4] roses to the adrenaline rush of the RZR tour with The Adventure Group [5] (got a little mud on those tires…and in my teeth!), it was nothing short of perfect. Thank you Sharla [6] for taking such gorgeous pictures to capture the weekend you’re such a talented photographer and sweet friend!
